CURRICULUM
The academic curriculum relies heavily on the case method pioneered at Harvard. Participants are presented with the facts of a real situation from the point of view of the actors who faced it, and the class considers the different options open to them and their likely consequences. Because the case method focuses on actual problems, it provides a powerful, stimulating educational experience.
In addition to case discussions, participants will have the opportunity to hone their expertise in analysis, communications, and negotiations through in-class exercises and simulations that demonstrate the lessons of the course material.
Finally, each day participants will work in small groups in their own “Board of Directors” to consider the leadership and management challenges they currently face and get insight, feedback, and guidance on issues from extraordinary class colleagues. Many participants find that the relationships they make in these groups continue to be valuable sources of guidance after they return to their organizational roles.
