OVERVIEW

“During the Science, Technology and Innovation Policy program, I was given the opportunity to exchange valuable ideas with distinguished people from all over the world. The program was intense and focused on practical aspects surrounding contemporary issues and concerns.”

Mr. Paulo Leao, Former Director-President,
Ceara State Information Technology Company-ETICE

While science, technology, and innovation are increasingly recognized as important factors in the economic transformation of developing countries, their prominence in development policy discussions is generally understated. The Science, Technology and Innovation Policy program at Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government provides high-level leaders from government, academia, industry, and civil society with a unique opportunity to integrate science and technology into a national development policy. The program seeks to complement other strategies and measures adopted to align education and research activities with development goals.
