Except where noted in the program description, participants are housed in graduate student housing at Soldiers Field Park Apartments, located across the Charles River, adjacent to the Harvard Business School. It is a pleasant fifteen-minute walk from the Kennedy School of Government. These furnished apartments have two- or three- bedrooms with window air-conditioners. You will have a private bedroom and share a bath, living room and kitchenette (although most meals are included in the program). For your convenience, clock radios and telephones (with voicemail) are provided in each bedroom. A coffee maker, TV, iron and ironing board are provided in each apartment. Bed linens and towels are also provided. Your room assignments and keys will be available at registration. Please see program description for confirmation that housing is provided.
Since you will be sharing an apartment with one or more program participants, there are no accommodations available for family members or guests. We will be happy to recommend hotels and bed/breakfast accommodations for family members or friends who might visit you.
Meals
In most programs the fee includes most meals. An on-site catering service provides meals at the Kennedy School for program participants. In addition, coffee and fruit will be available during the break between morning classes. Please see program description for confirmation.
Facilities
The Kennedy School campus is located minutes from Harvard Yard in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Its three buildings house all of the school's programs and, through a multilevel forum space, give the school a unique town-meeting environment for a wide range of public policy debates, lectures and conferences, featuring a constant flow of world-renowned figures each year. The school also houses numerous research centers and programs - for science and international affairs; business and government; social policy; state and local government; housing studies; science and technology; criminal justice policy and management; emerging democracies abroad; and the press, politics and public policy. An innovative Institute of Politics serves as a bridge between the school and the world of elective politics by bringing to campus leading political figures from the U.S. and abroad. The additional resources of Harvard University, with 10 professional schools, numerous research centers, the largest university library system in the world and a full-time faculty of several thousand, are located within walking distance of the Kennedy School.
