Surinder Arora

Surinder Arora is a senior public servant in the government of India and has worked in the field of budget and financial management at the state and central government levels. For the past five years he served as the financial secretary of Andhra Pradesh State. Apart from advising the government on policy issues, he has been involved in implementing a series of fiscal and financial reforms covering areas such as fiscal transparency and public participation in budget formulation, public debt and fiscal risk management, innovations in public financial management throughout the budgetary cycle, use of information technology in building financial information systems, and enforcement of financial accountability.
