OVERVIEW
Strategic Frameworks for Nonprofit Organizations is an online program designed to help nonprofit and NGO leaders use strategic management frameworks to improve their organizations. The program represents a unique online learning opportunity for senior executives leading nonprofit and non-governmental organizations to interact with Professor Christine Letts of Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government and colleagues from around the world over a 10-week period.
Strategic Frameworks for Nonprofit Organizations is designed to reach an audience of nonprofit and NGO managers from around the world, who, given the costs and distances, are not able to attend on-campus Executive Education programs offered by Harvard Kennedy School.
The program focuses on five topics:
- Mission statements
- Strategic alignment
- Strategic frameworks
- Program portfolio management
- Strategic positioning
Each topic is covered in a two-week module that combines readings, online discussion, videos, and a workbook exercise — allowing participants to apply the information learned in each module directly to their organization.
