ACCOMMODATIONS
What are the accommodations for participants?
Participants are housed at Soldiers Field Park Apartments, adjacent to Harvard Business School. These apartments are just a short ten-minute walk from Harvard Kennedy School. These furnished apartments have two- or three- bedrooms with window air-conditioners. You will have a private bedroom and share a bathroom and kitchenette with one or two other participants. For your convenience, clock radios are provided in each bedroom. A coffee maker, telephone, TV, iron, and ironing board are provided in each apartment. Bed linens and towels are also provided.
Are participants required to live on campus?
Yes, this is a residential program even if you live in the greater Boston area.
ATTIRE
What is the typical attire for this program?
The typical program attire is casual or civilian. You will be sitting in a classroom for long periods of time so you should dress comfortably. Please note the temperature can be quite cool in an air-conditioned classroom; it is advised that you bring a light jacket or sweater.
PHYSICAL FITNESS
Will I have time to exercise?
You will have time to exercise either very early in the morning (breakfast is from 7:00 - 8:00 am and study groups convene at 8:00 am) or later in the evening before or after dinner, usually from 6:00 -8:00 pm (See sample daily schedule below).
Will I have access to workout facilities?
Yes, there is an athletic facility just next door to the Harvard Kennedy School campus which is accessible to all participants.
FAMILY MEMBERS
Can members of my family join me for the weekend?
You will be sharing an apartment with one or more program participants so there are no accommodations available for family members or guests. We recommend the following local hotels for family members or friends:

COMPUTER ACCESS
Should I bring my laptop?
A computer is not necessary for your program work. However, those who wish to check their email, etc will have access to computers at Soldiers Field Park and at Harvard Kennedy School. There is also laptop connectivity in your apartments.
REGISTRATION
When and where should I register for the program?
Registration will take place in the Common Room at the Soldiers Field Park Apartments (One Western Avenue, Allston) on Sunday, August 9 between 12:00 pm and 5:00 pm. Please plan your travel accordingly.
SCHEDULE
When will I receive the schedule and reading materials?
After you have completed the online confirmation form, you will be provided with access to the program’s website. This website contains logistical information, reading materials, participant listing as well as a draft of the two-week schedule

Note: Because of the intensive nature of our programs, participants are asked to immerse themselves completely in the program curriculum and daily events. Free time at night is used to prepare for the next day’s sessions and to interact informally with classmates.
Will I have any time to tour the Boston area?
You will have free weekend in between the two weeks of the program (Saturday, August 15 and Sunday, August 16) to explore Boston.
