Frequently Asked Questions
The Program
What is the difference between attending a Harvard program in Cambridge and one offsite – like this one in Athens?
Other than using a different venue, there are no differences in curriculum or instruction. We will be bringing our faculty, course materials, and curriculum from Cambridge. Participants will enjoy all the benefits that come with attending any Executive Education program – information on Harvard events, updates on the latest developments at Harvard, and a program completion certificate. From a logistical perspective there are a number of benefits to holding this course in Athens. It is easier to get visas to enter Greece for many participants and travel costs and times are cut down.
When will I know if I have been admitted to the program?
Participants will be notified on a rolling basis as applications are received. You will be notified regarding the status of your application within three weeks of the receipt of a completed application.
Program Costs
Is there full or partial tuition funding available?
- There is a limited amount of Fellowship funding that will be awarded on a selective basis. This funding can only be used to pay program fees and cannot be used to cover transportation costs, housing, or meals. Tuition assistance decisions are made separately from the admissions process.
If you are seeking tuition support and would like to be considered for a fellowship, please submit the online application. An email will be sent to you with details on the process for applying for a fellowship. Please add ksg_execed@ksg.harvard.edu to your address book to assure that you receive the email.
- In addition to the fellowship offered by our partners, financial assistance for executive training is often available from foundations, international development agencies, and multilateral assistance organizations. Individuals seeking financial assistance should make inquiries directly to these organizations as soon as possible, as training funds are often limited and the approval process can be lengthy.

To increase the likelihood that prospective participants receive the financial support needed to attend this program, we encourage participants to seek funding from third party sources in addition to applying for a fellowship.
Program Fee
What is covered in the program fee?
The program fee includes all curricular materials and lunches. Lodging, breakfasts and dinners, and travel to and from Athens are not included in the program fee and are the responsibility of individual participants.
Will the program organizers make available a block of hotel rooms at a group rate?
For participants coming from outside of Athens, we will hold a block of single and double rooms at a hotel in downtown Athens at a special Harvard rate. Participants may also choose to pursue other residential options.
Attire
What is the typical attire for this program?

Yes. The Kennedy School admits participants to Executive Education programs with the understanding that they will be free of all regular professional responsibilities throughout the program. The faculty believes that attendance by each participant at every session is essential to ensuring that the program makes the maximum contribution both to the individual and the entire group. The sessions often build on materials presented in previous sessions so it is essential that participants stay current in the course. Only participants who have attended all of the program sessions will be awarded certificates of completion at the end of the course.
Visa
What visa should I apply for?
