ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Admission to this program is competitive and is based on professional achievement and organizational responsibility. Though there is no formal educational requirement, fluency in written and spoken English is a necessity for participation in the program.
Because of the interactive nature of this program, the number of participants is limited. Early application is encouraged as qualified candidates are admitted on a rolling, space-available basis and the program often fills quickly. Applications received after the deadline will be considered only if space remains in the class. We encourage applicants from outside the United States to apply at least 12 weeks before the program start date as the time required to obtain a visa can be lengthy.
VISA
Applicants from countries other than the United States should note that obtaining a visa can be a time-consuming process, taking up to several months. Please take this into account when applying.
What visa do I apply for?
Our programs are executive training programs; therefore a B-1 non-immigrant visa or business/travel visa, NOT a student or scholar visa, should be obtained. The only letter Harvard University provides is an admission letter to accepted participants which can be used as part of the visa application process.
FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
Financial assistance for training of this kind is often available from foundations, international development agencies, and multilateral assistance organizations. Individuals desiring assistance should make inquiries directly to these organizations as soon as possible, as training funds are often limited and the approval process can be lengthy.
